Firm AdministratorBirmingham, AL$100,000 - $150,000PangeaTwo is partnering with one of Birmingham's top legal firms in search of a dynamic and experienced Firm Administrator. Our client has an exciting and growing practice primarily focused on defense litigation involving diverse practice groups sharing a broad array of industry experience and knowledge. The ideal candidate will be a forward thinking, innovative professional that will manage the daily operations of the law firm and help guide the firm into the future with strategic visions and leadership. Key Responsibilities:The position will report directly to the Managing Shareholder and work in concert with the firm's Equity Shareholders. The Firm Administrator manages the day-to-day operational and administrative functions consistent with the firm's vision and values. The position has overall responsibility for management of staff, human resources (including benefit programs, hiring, performance evaluations, and discipline), insurance and risk management, financial management and budgeting, maintaining banking and accounting relationships, facilities, and information and technology systems. The position also requires someone with exceptional professional interpersonal and leadership skills that reflect the values of the firm. Direct reports include all office operations personnel. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of a legal or other professional service organization and have experience working closely with the firm's owners managing business operations and will be expected to:* Make sound business decisions with independent judgment and initiative.* Set priorities to complete tasks and delegate authority and responsibility when appropriate.* Manage office functions effectively, efficiently, and economically and supervise support staff.* Identify and analyze complex issues and develop and implement solutions.* Develop and implement marketing plans.Qualifications for the position:* A degree in business administration or related field and a minimum of five years of experience in general management, ideally in a professional services client-oriented organization. An MBA or related degree and/or CLM certification is preferred.* 5+ years' experience leading, planning, and managing in a client-oriented setting. * Experience in a law firm environment is preferred.* Knowledge and experience in Human Resource management required.* Strong background in finance and accounting principles.* Working knowledge of law firm management software including--iManage--and Omega is a plus
