every day.The role holder will be the finance lead for the
Openreach Digital unit, working closely with the operational
directors to drive the financial performance in the unit. You'll
have the following responsibilities --- Accountable for budgeting
and financial performance of c. -100m of gross costs & c530 FTE
(heads) including a mixture of Capex and Opex spend. ---- Lead
relationship holder and commercial lead into an 'B' level
Operational Director and Openreach Digital Leadership team---
Define and own zero based/activity based costing for the unit to
assist in the unit cost economics of the area, including Story
Points, Agile and DevOps--- Lead for the AS&M (Application
Support & Maintenance) forecast ---- Key input into the
prioritisation and do-ability of Openreach Capex plans over the
annual and multi-year investment cycles--- Lead for Openreach
Digital business cases, working closely with the operational teams
and Procurement to ensure best possible value delivered for BT---
Responsible for overall integrity of Openreach Digital financials,
with frequent communication with the Finance Director of
DigitalLeadership accountabilities--- Proven ability to influence
and build key relationships with appropriate business partners---
Communication skills - translating complex financial outcomes to
senior financial and non-financial stakeholders through both oral
and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the
relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the
appropriate level of detail--- Ability to quickly establish
credibility, respect and build strong working relationships. ----
Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of
financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems---
Bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where
appropriate--- Able to use initiative to deal with ambiguity,
identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic
solutions--- Financial authority for budgeting and planning for the
Openreach IT Delivery and Test P&L, B/S and cashflow for both
the annual and multi-year planning cycles--- Assurance on monthly
financial results of the unit--- Financial decision making on
commercial deals with our 3rd party vendors, investment cases and
local transformation initiatives that impact Openreach Digital---
Will operate in a highly complex environment with very high risk
(potential financial or commercial impact, business unit/other
business units/Group level visibility, potential reputational
impact)--- Ownership of E2E financial plan and outlooks, managing
risks and opportunities for Openreach Digital You'll have the
following skills & experience --- Fully qualified accountant /
Further qualification to support specialism (.e.g. CIMA, ACCA, IIA,
CISA, ACT, CTA, MCT, IR Society Certificate or equivalent), or
exceptionally equivalent experience ---- Experience across a wide
range of finance disciplines desirable.--- Experience of driving
cross unit change and improvement agenda.--- Excellent knowledge of
finance, procurement and operational systems and processes---
Strong knowledge on accounting (IFRS)Experience you would be
expected to have--- Demonstrable professionalism with a proven
ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business
environment. ---- A track record of effectively influencing
stakeholder requirements ---- Strength of driving a customer
centric approach in all financial processes. ---- Experience of
financial management and delivery of improved financial
performance.--- Strategic capability and commercial awareness---
