Job Title:Staff AccountantJob Summary:The Staff Accountant assumes responsibility for preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing and some analysis of financial statements. Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None. Duties/Responsibilities:Assumes Responsibility for Journal Entry Preparation
  • Compile and analyze information for journal entries.
  • Create supporting documentation.
  • Enter information into computer system.
  • Verify accuracy of debits and credits.
  • Prepare various financial reports including financial statements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Must be customer oriented.
    • Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
    • Must work well in team atmosphere.
    • Must have basic analytical skills.
    • Ability to be point of contact for all auditing and/or accounting needs.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
      • At least two years of related experience required.
      • Knowledge of trucking/transportation industry preferred. Physical Requirements:
        • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
        • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
