Opportunity We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Manager of
Tax & Business Valuation to lead our high-impact tax practice. This
is a unique leadership role designed for a professional who thrives
at the intersection of tax strategy and business valuation. You
will act as a primary advisor for a sophisticated client portfolio,
providing insights that go beyond compliance to include entity
structuring, succession planning, and valuation-driven tax
strategies. As a key leader reporting directly to the Tax &
Business Valuation Partner , you will shape the direction of our
practice while mentoring a talented team of seniors and staff. Your
Impact Strategic Advisory & Engagement Leadership Holistic
Compliance: Lead federal, state, and local tax engagements for a
diverse mix of corporations, partnerships, trusts, and
high-net-worth individuals. Valuation-Driven Strategy: Partner with
firm leadership on projects that require the integration of tax
expertise with deep business valuation insights. Proactive
Consulting: Act as the primary consultant for client questions,
focusing on innovative entity structures and long-term succession
planning. Client Excellence: Maintain a "client-obsessed" mindset,
anticipating needs and delivering high-value, proactive solutions.
Leadership & Team Growth Mentorship & Coaching: Supervise and train
tax staff and seniors, serving as a dedicated resource for their
technical and professional development. Quality Oversight: Perform
thorough reviews of tax returns and workpapers, providing the
constructive feedback necessary to uphold our firm's standards of
excellence. Trust-Based Culture: Model a leadership style rooted in
respect, collaboration, and mutual accountability. Technical
Mastery & Innovation Expert Research: Lead complex research
projects and draft technical memoranda on evolving tax laws and
regulations. Process Evolution: Champion the adoption of new
technologies and process improvements to increase the efficiency
and accuracy of our tax practice. Entrepreneurial Growth: Identify
opportunities to provide additional value-added services to current
clients and support the firm's broader business development goals.
What You Bring Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's
in Taxation or Accounting preferred). Credentials: Active CPA
license is required. Experience: 5-8 years of progressive tax
experience in public accounting, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or management role . Expertise: Deep knowledge of
federal and state compliance, especially regarding multi-entity
structures and complex tax research. Soft Skills: Exceptional
relationship-building skills and the ability to lead a team through
the challenges of peak tax seasons with resilience and composure.
