Job Description:

Experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant needed for fast-paced practice group in a large local civil litigation firm. Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience as a legal secretary. Candidate must be detail-oriented and type at least 70 wpm with minimal errors.Responsibilities:Provide administrative support to multiple attorneysEffectively communicate with clients, colleagues and partnersExtensive TranscriptionPrepare and file various legal documents, such as appeals, motions or petitions in state and federal courtOpen new files, including conflict checks and engagement lettersEnter attorney time in time and billing systemMaintaining attorney calendarsCase list management and monthly reports utilizing ExcelCreate PowerPoint presentationsFacilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely remindersRequired Skills:Accurate typing speed of 70+ wpmProficient in transcriptionProficient in Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint and ExcelProficient in AdobeKnowledge of legal terminology and court system regulationOutstanding time-management and typing skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentBenefits Offered:Health insurance benefitsPaid vacation and PTO time401(k)/Profit sharing planWellness IncentivesFree parkingFree on-site fitness centerdiscounted lunches delivered from local restaurantsCompetitive Salary with potential for spot and annual bonuses.
