Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Senior Maintenance Technician for our Livingston, AL plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Maintenance Technician, you will use schematics, small/power tools, perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic equipment. Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components for production equipment Follow all safety rules and practices May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Promote and adhere to a safety-first environment Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment Performing preventative maintenance Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary Perform other duties as assigned What You’ll Need: Prompt, regular and predictable attendance Proven maintenance experience Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches Experience performing routine maintenance The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) Positive attitude Work well with a team The above statements describe the general nature and responsibilities of the position.
