Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This contract position is for a Teacher of the Deaf /
Hard of Hearing supporting an elementary student within the Atlanta
area. The role involves working closely with one student, providing
specialized instruction and support to meet their unique needs. The
schedule is fixed from 10:20 am to 11:50 am EST, Monday through
Friday, offering approximately 7.5 to 10 hours per week. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction in American Sign
Language (ASL) to support language and communication development.
Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement
individualized education plans. Monitor student progress and adjust
teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain compliance with Georgia
Department of Education certification standards and reporting
requirements. Qualifications: Active Georgia DOE Certification as a
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing. Fluency in American Sign
Language (ASL) is mandatory. Experience working with
elementary-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
support students and collaborate with educators. Location: Atlanta
area, supporting a student at an elementary school. This is a leave
contract position starting March 17, 2026, through May 22, 2026.
