Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in
Akron, OH, providing essential support to preschool and elementary
school settings. The role is ideal for candidates with flexibility
in scheduling and a passion for working with young children in
educational environments. This position requires coverage 4-5 days
per week, with responsibilities divided between evaluation and
therapy services. Specifically, one day involves conducting
evaluations, followed by three days focused on preschool classroom
therapy coverage. Additionally, there is a separate role for
therapy-only coverage at both preschool and elementary levels, with
no evaluation duties involved. Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech
and language evaluations for preschool-aged students. Provide
therapy services to preschool and elementary students to support
their communication development. Collaborate with educators and
staff to implement individualized education plans and therapy
goals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student
progress. Qualifications: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist
certification (SLP-CCC preferred). Experience in school-based
speech therapy, particularly with preschool and elementary
populations. Flexibility to arrange schedules across multiple
school locations within the district. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills to engage effectively with students, families,
and school staff. This is a travel position with an assignment
duration from August 26, 2024, through December 20, 2024.
