Engineer is responsible for consulting with customers, estimating,
sales, project management, and Sr. Leadership to successfully
manage projects from the bid phase through debugging.Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and
responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this
job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be
performed.Review the RFQ to understand its intent, requirements,
details, timing, and scope, including alternate solutions.Confirm
or obtain the proper hardware and software materials needed to
process and produce successful results.Manage project budgets, work
to Schedule of Values, and provide Cost to Complete
documentsMaintain and establish records and documentation of all
types as requiredSupervise personnel. Controls Designers,
Electricians, programmers, and EngineersPotentially staff, and
manage multiple projects in various locations as requiredAnalyze,
guide, direct and approve product design and changes, specifically
for complex controls problems.Establish a timing plan to accomplish
SOW.Prepares bid packs for the sub-contractors when
necessary.Review subcontractor's proposal for content, price, and
clarifications with a matrix of supplier rank.Requirements:Bachelor
of Business Electrical Engineering highly desired.Minimum 5 yrs.
experience with automotive equipment in controls
engineeringThorough knowledge of Hardware, PLC programming and
debugging in Rockwell or Allen Bradley & Siemens TIA
PortalExperience in Drives & VFD'sExperience in a turnkey
environmentExperience with electrically controlled
pneumaticsExperience with Device Net & EthernetExperience in a
manufacturing environmentMust have experience with cycle time
optimization of equipment and systemsInstallation experience of
conveyor systems and safety requirementsAble to establish, plan,
build, debug, and produce controls systems from concept to finished
productStartup and commissioning experience and proficiency a
mustProficient with MS Word, Project, and Excel.Requires travel,
including overnight, attending meetings, and reviewing job
sites.Work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and deadline
orientated environment.OSHA 30 and safety training a plus.U.S.
