III Job Description This role requires daily interaction with
automation and manufacturing groups to ensure efficient and
productive operation of automation equipment. Responsibilities
Train, assist, and evaluate lower-level technicians. Perform major
repairs and complex troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical
automation issues. Communicate with project managers, customers,
and vendors regarding technical automation requirements. Provide
input and critiques for automation systems design. Assist engineers
and project managers in creating and running automation
qualifications. Make changes and revisions to basic automation
designs and update all pertinent documentation. Assemble quotas for
average automation projects such as refurbishments and repairs.
Execute low to mid-level project coordination assignments. Identify
technology training needs to stay current with automation equipment
and techniques. Write camera programs from start to finish for
automation and mold applications, and assist in debugging or
improving existing programs. Write and alter programs for 6 axis
and SCARA automation robots, and complex top entry/mold take out
robot programs. Utilize PLC knowledge to connect and diagnose
automated equipment issues and make improvements. Create and modify
existing PMs for automated cells to minimize downtime. Essential
Skills Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley
and Siemens PLCs. Experience with CAD and instrumentation
implementation. Expertise in manufacturing and process improvement.
Strong skills in continuous improvement within an engineering
context. Additional Skills & Qualifications A college degree (AAS
or above) in an Automation-related field such as Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering. 5 years of experience as a manufacturing
technician with high-speed precision manufacturing equipment and
inspection systems. Experience in automation, electrical,
mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, process
improvement, continuous improvement, medical device, engineering,
PLC programming, controls engineering, mechanical, and CAD
software. Work Environment The position is based in a new
state-of-the-art facility with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday
during the day. Flexible start times are available between 6-7am.
There is an opportunity to grow internally and expand into various
engineering skillsets. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent
position based out of Auburn, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range
for this position is $83000.00 - $95000.00/yr. 401(k) 401(k)
