Job Description:
Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is
seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair the fleet
vehicles critical to our distribution operations. This position
plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient running of our
logistics operations, allowing us to provide timely delivery of
fresh and frozen poultry products across our various service
routes. As part of our skilled labor team, you will work closely
with operations and logistics managers to keep our fleet in top
condition, ensuring safety and reliability in all weather
conditions and operational demands. Perform routine maintenance and
emergency repairs on diesel engines and vehicle components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with engines, transmissions,
braking systems and electronic systems. Maintain detailed records
of serviced vehicles and inventory of parts and supplies. Adhere to
all safety policies and procedures while conducting repair work.
Collaborate with logistics team to schedule maintenance and
minimize downtime. Stay current with emerging vehicle technologies
and amendments in regulatory standards. Proficiency in diesel
engine repair and maintenance. Strong diagnostic and
problem-solving skills. Ability to handle physical workload and
lift heavy objects. Effective communication and organizational
skills. ASE Diesel Mechanic Certification is preferred.
