talented Continuous Improvement Engineer for its Hypersonics line
of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the
defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides

Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB). The CHGB is the Army’s 1
priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision

Primary Responsibilities. Analyze workflows to identify
bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies that affect engineering work
products. Lead value stream mapping initiatives. Develop and
implement standardized work and visual management tools and
systems. Develop and maintain key performance indicators and
operational dashboards. Improve engineering throughput, document
release cycle time, and labor efficiency. Interface with
multifunctional team to understand roadblocks impeding the
engineering document release process. Play a key role in
engineering efforts to map and optimize processes. Develop
implementation plans for process improvement initiatives. Present
performance trends and provide recommendations to leadership. Basic
Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4 years of
experience from an ABET accredited school. Ability to work tasks
with limited direction, as well as provide clarification and
instruction to others. Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or
other structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience leading
issue resolution in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical
skills with experience using data to drive decisions. Excellent
communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and grow
within the organization. Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications. Prior work in DoD
Missile, Reentry Vehicle, or Hypersonics fields. Experience working
in a production environment. Experience in AS9100 or aerospace
quality systems. Understanding of cost and schedule implications of
typical engineering deliverables. Experience with value stream
mapping, SIPOC diagrams, Kaizen team formation, process discovery,
or Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation. Experience
working rapidly changing development programs. Lean Six Sigma Green
Belt or Black Belt certification. Familiarity with EVM and program

Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 The Leidos pay range for
this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of
compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending
an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the
job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as
well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable
bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
