Job Description:

Director of Growth and Quality Performance-Birmingham(#0427) Aletheia House is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to oversee quality performance for agency programs. The successful candidate will be able to work independently to evaluate current programs and actively seek new opportunities. Location of position: 2100 16 th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205 Position Summary: The director of growth and quality performance performs quality, growth, and analysis for substance abuse prevention programs, disorder treatment, housing, and employment. The director of growth and quality performance works closely with the chief operating officer in order to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House. Evaluator/Analyst Responsibility:

  • Complete monthly outcome analysis for each program: prevention, substance use disorder treatment, housing, and employment.
  • Conduct monthly consumer satisfaction surveys and analysis for each program: prevention, substance use disorder treatment, housing, and employment.
  • Meet with program managers and coordinators to provide overviews of outcomes
  • Help create quality improvement plans for programs with outcomes below set goals and objectives
  • Conduct biannual staff satisfaction surveys for current programs.
  • Analyze employee exit interviews for trends and develop a biannual report representative of employee turnover for the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Conduct needs and demographic analysis at least annually creating an annual needs assessment report.
  • Help to expand agency's reporting and analytical capabilities by holding trainings for program staff on data validity and accurateness.
  • Monitor the program internal database for tracking program participants for each program
  • Monitor federal database system (GPRA) and inform program teams and senior management of their GPRA information.
  • Gather and compile data for the completion of the annual United Way Report
  • Conduct monthly patient satisfaction committee meetings for Health Center
  • Attend webinars, trainings, and conferences necessary for grant evaluators.
  • Ensure deliverables (e.g. reports and presentations) are high quality and timely presented to the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Analyze health and safety drills for time and knowledge of staff Grant Writing and Management Responsibility:
    • Assist in writing, compiling, and submitting grant proposals
    • Collaborate with program directors to establish timeline for each grant project with benchmarks to include outputs, outcomes, etc.
    • Monitor grant timelines at least quarterly in consultation with grant accountant and program manager to verify programmatic and budgetary benchmarks are in alignment with timeline.
    • Maintain an understanding of grant funding sources to include funder awards, program data measurements, fiscal and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain searchable database of funding sources with reporting obligations; master grant file; and history of submitted reports
    • Compile required funding source reports to include program and narrative information in coordination with staff and community initiatives' management Compliance Responsibility:
      • Report all critical incidents into state database system and ensure inquiries and investigations are managed appropriately and in a timely manner
      • Monitor all health and safety drills to be sure they are being completed at each facility and to be sure that all facilities and vehicles maintain the necessary health and safety equipment and signage according to the policy and procedures.
      • Monitor all vehicle inspections to be sure they are being completed for each Aletheia House owned vehicle monthly.
      • Submit accreditation applications to CARF
      • Write and update all Aletheia House plans necessary to maintain accreditation: Cultural Competency Plan, Risk Management Plan, Strategic Plan, Quality Improvement Plan, and Accessibility Plan for CARF
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for all surveyors, including coordinating the scheduling between Aletheia staff and surveyors for CARF
      • Attend webinars, trainings, and conferences necessary for corporate compliance and incident reporting. Other Duties:
        • Interns:
          • Develop a strong list and relationship with local universities to recruit students in fields related to Aletheia House work
          • Serve as a preceptor for public health interns
          • Attend intern trainings and fairs
          • Serve as the primary point of contact for interns
          • Recruit and screen interns for all Aletheia House programs: administrative, behavioral health, and primary health care.
          • Organize intern trainings and develop new formats for intern trainings to be inclusive of interns that are not in the Birmingham area without requiring travel
          • Maintain interns' files
          • Serve as the primary point of contact between field placement coordinators
          • Develop competency-based tests for current trainings that do not test for competencies. Position Requirements:
            • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field.
            • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
            • Strong organizational skills
            • Excellent teamwork skills
            • Excellent problem-solving capabilities Travel Requirements: -Travel occasionally -Must be willing to use and have your own personal transportation - Mileage reimbursement for personal use of vehicle is included -Motor Vehicle Report required Job Salary:-- $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 Based on experience Hours:-- Full-time Exempt Monday-Friday (40 Hours) 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Benefits are excellent including health insurance with dental, retirement, paid vacations and paid sick leave.
