In support of our client, a leader in automotive manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Project Management Specialist located near Birmingham, AL. This is a long-term, multi-year, contract opportunity. JOB OVERVIEW Under general supervision, this position will plan, steer, coordinate, and support to ensure qualitative and quantitative target achievement of the division Productivity, Committees and Corporation's North America (PCC/NA). Primary responsibilities will focus on contract management and coordination of committees to support COMPAS production in Aguascalientes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the drafting and coordination of contracts for Aguascalientes production plant, Client subsidiary, and other relevant US corporations.Support in drafting new contracts in coordination with the legal department, align with all involved areas, monitor progress, and create reports regarding the status of all relevant contracts.Participate in interdisciplinary project teams to draft contracts in collaboration with other involved departments.Support in solving complex issues between corporation partners to finalize committee decisions.Support the implementation of and participate in project meetings and ensure decided measures are presented and included in the discussion(s) and decision-making process.Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of steering committees including but not limited to the Board of Directors (BoD) Meetings for COMPAS.Ensure regular communication with relevant project partners, identify critical topics, and establish committees. Write and monitor reliable minutes of the committee meetings.Develop communication processes across locations in coordination with partners from different departments including Legal, Finance, Development, Planning, and Logistics.Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards, and laws.Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.Work safely 100% of the time.Perform other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain/Operations Management, or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum of three (3) years' relevant professional experience in project management role or related area, particularly working with cross-functional projects.Business fluent in English.Ability to work in an international team with high commitment and great flexibility. Enthusiasm about interdisciplinary thinking and teamwork.Business mind-set and ability to think strategically.Ability and willingness to work in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to travel as needed (especially to Mexico) and be flexible as required by the business. PREFERRED SKILLS Contract management experienceMaster's degree (Business or related area) Spanish language skillsGerman language skillsExperience working with legal contracts.
