A Kforce client is seeking a Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery to work from their Chicago, IL; Birmingham, AL; or Jacksonville, FL offices. Overview: This position reports to the Vice President of Infrastructure Operations and is responsible for IT disaster recovery planning, testing and execution. The Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery will work with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Program for all business units. The Kforce client is a Cloud-focused company therefore the disaster recovery plans need to address both on-prem but more importantly Cloud recovery requirements. These plans must be flexible enough to support testing by individual business units while also being comprehensive enough to recover IT capabilities for the entire corporation in the event of a declaration of a disaster or other major incident. The Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery will entail working in a matrixed organization and will require collaboration with peers and the use of the candidate's technical knowledge. Responsibilities: Responsible for creating, implementing, and managing disaster recovery plans for the entire company
Update plans for both on-prem and Cloud-based systems and applications to stay current
Negotiate with stakeholders regarding DR Service Levels such as DR Tiers, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point -Objectives (RPOs), and others
Update and maintain the IT disaster recovery plan to enable the organization to respond to a disaster, or other emergency that affects information systems, and minimize the effect on business operations
Align the IT DR plans with Business Continuity Management (BCM) to ensure business continuance and minimize company losses in the event of a disaster
Manage the performance of the staff assigned to the DR team
Manage the budget associate with disaster recovery

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with equivalent work experience working in Information Technology
7+ years of experience in building a disaster recovery program and organizational framework based on an industry accepted best practices
5 years of disaster recovery experience in a large corporation
5+ years of experience managing or working with data systems and IT infrastructure technologies
5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus
At least 2 years of experience with disaster recovery in a Cloud environment
Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure to include but not limited to networking, servers, security related to firewalls and identity management, and AWS Cloud capabilities
Ability to facilitate the development of DR program(s) and strategy with key stakeholders
Ability to lead the ongoing application of DR program(s) strategy as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present to all levels of Technology and Senior leadership staff
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts, and then effectively communicate these concepts with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management
Strong collaboration and negotiating skills
Detail oriented and diligent
