BIM Operator/Manager

Job Description:

Bright Future Electric Birmingham is looking for a BIM/VDC manager, someone with knowledge of Autodesk software (Primarily Revit and Navisworks) and preferably some experience designing electrical installs (Electrical room and conduit rack layouts). Applicants should have good written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and be well organized. Minimal travel required, most meetings are virtual.
Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models of electrical systems and output a model in a format that can be used for coordination.
• Attend meetings to coordinate with other companies and trades to resolve clashes and use the space in a building as efficiently as possible.
• Relaying information to field personnel in various formats for accurate installation in a timely manner.
• Produce as documentation for building owner at the end of each project.
• Create accurate models of electrical equipment with required clearances from submittal documentation provided by suppliers.
  Requirements/Qualification:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with BIM/VDC 3D modeling.
  • Ability to coordinate with other employees, trades, and companies.
  • Prior field/shop experience in electrical construction is preferred.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Possess a strong, self-motivated work ethic.
