JOB SUMMARY: The Workplace Enablement Manager position is responsible for operational and administrative functions within the Technology Organization including Budgeting for enterprise PC purchasing, PC Refresh processes and Refresh model oversight, PC Leasing oversight, Hardware Asset Management, Corporate Wireless account management and Invoice Processing for technology invoices. This position manages a team of Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Analysts to develop/update processes and ensure execution of operational tasks. This position will be responsible for developing a multi-year vision and roadmap, along with strategic processes and tasks to deliver to those results. The incumbent will be responsible for the creation and oversight of the Enterprise PC Budget, associated cost recovery and exception process. The primary technologies for this position are Power BI, Maximo, Oracle, Remedy and SNOW. JOB REQUIREMENTS: B.S. degree or actively pursuing a BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field or relevant ITAM certification including Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) Extensive knowledge of Southern Company budgeting practices, including demonstrated ability to create billing models, create budgets and manage highly complex budgets to stay within target. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience to manage a multi-million-dollar budget. Knowledge of how to appropriately estimate costs and plan for ongoing technology projects and maintenance. Excellent vendor / supplier management skills. The incumbent needs to be able to collaborate closely with our vendor partners to understand emerging trends, improve our service offerings and hold vendors accountable for the service level quality they contractually committed to. The incumbent should be able to interface with technology vendors to define roadmaps, escalate issues, and solve complex problems. Experience with Wireless Device Vendors is a plus. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute implementations and improvement opportunities. Proven history of achieving results individually and working with and through others. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Workplace Enablement Manager leads the team responsible for PC Refresh, Enterprise PC Budgeting, PC Leasing, Wireless Device Management, and Invoice Processing. This team is critical to the core operations of the Technology Organization. Thus, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of services. The Workplace Enablement Manager has responsibility for the PC Refresh program and associated processes. This includes owning the Hardware Catalog, setting the refresh schedule, budgeting for refresh, updating and maintaining PC refresh communications and process, ensuring execution, and overseeing reclamation of equipment. The position is responsible for hardware activity associated with 40,000 PCs and 25,000 wireless devices. The Workplace Enablement Manager constructs and oversees the Digital Workplace Solutions budget. This includes working with numerous managers to align purchasing and maintenance decisions to the annual budget. The budget is highly complex due to end point hardware and software technologies. This position is also responsible for creating and overseeing the PC billing model responsible for PC asset recovery charges. The Workplace Enablement Manager oversees multiple vendor relationships associated with PC Services and Wireless Services. They oversee contract creation and renewal and will lead RFPs for vendor selection. They must work closely with our hardware vendor and VAR to ensure appropriate forecasting of equipment occurs, equipment stocking levels are accurate, and invoices are paid. The Workplace Enablement Manager is responsible for supply chain acquisition and management for the aligned services. The Workplace Enablement Manager oversees enterprise-wide wireless device management. This includes ownership of ordering processes, billing review and management of the wireless space. The Workplace Enablement Manager will also drive large scale reviews to ensure billing is accurate and works continually to eliminate waste. The Workplace Enablement Manager is responsible for Invoice Processing associated with the Technology Organization. The Workplace Enablement team annually processes 10,000 invoices. In this capacity, the manager must resolve system issues to ensure invoices are paid on time. The Workplace Enablement Manager will collaborate with vendors to address payment issues. Additionally, they must work closely with Accounting, Supply Chain and Vendor Management to ensure timely processing. The Workplace Enablement Manager is both strategic and innovative. The incumbent will need to create a long-range vision, strategies to support the vision and tactical steps to achieve the vision over a multi-year period. The incumbent should also be able to work closely with business partners to understand new requirements, determine solutions to meet those requirements and measure success based on the business value achieved. The Workplace Enablement Manager is responsible for attracting, developing, retaining, & managing a geographically diverse group of individual contributors including full time staff and contractors. At times, the position will oversee additional volumes of contract support that will be employed for project activity. In this role, the incumbent has responsibility for hiring, performance management, and terminations and for providing daily work direction, feedback, and coaching to their direct reports.
