POSITION OVERVIEWThe Human Resource Director is responsible for developing and implementing a human resources plan that will enable the organization to attract, retain and promote a diverse and high-performing workforce that will enable the organization to meet its mission and achieve its strategic goals. This individual will help support an organizational culture that supports continuous learning and staff development. - -SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESThe Director of Human Resources is responsible for: -Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to human resources including recruiting, hiring, retention and promotion. Developing and implementing a human resources plan that is consistent with these goals and strategies. -Designing and implementing a plan to attract, develop, retain, and promote a diverse and high-performing workforceDesigning and implementing individualized training and staff development plans that will support employees in their current positions and prepare them for promotion in the future. -Using state-of-the-art technology, including web-based learning and competency measurement, to provide continuous learning opportunities for employees. -Administering, or overseeing the administration of, human resource activities including, but not limited to competitive compensation, benefits, leave performance measurement, productivity, recognition, and morale, training and professional development, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, and occupational health and safety.Conducting research, and providing analysis, of organizational trends related to human resources to the Executive Team.Monitoring and ensuring the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Reviewing and proposing modifications to policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Applying this knowledge to communicate proposed changes in policy, practice, and resources to the Executive Team. -POSITION REQUIREMENTS -Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
