The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of high
performing engineers and leaders on the Financial Crimes Solutions
team at Jack Henry, as we develop and deliver a modern cloud-based
fraud monitoring solution. If you have experience leading cloud
development projects, managing engineering teams and are passionate
about building high performing team cultures, this is the right

responsible for continuing to build out our team as we execute the
fraud strategy for Jack Henry What you'll be responsible for:
- Plans and leads the development of new software products and
enhancements.
- Oversees the analysis, design, development and maintenance of
software solutions.
- Oversees the definition and documentation of business and
technical design requirements. Oversees the preparation of design
specifications, analysis and recommendations.
- Ensures all software solutions and enhancements are fully
tested, debugged and meet product quality standards prior to
release to QA.
- Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget and
within a high level of corporate quality standards.
- Ensures technology solutions support the needs of the customer
and/or organization, oversees application administration
activities.
- Coordinates work and services with other departments, contract
service providers, and vendors.
- Determines practicality of ideas based on projected costs and
sales potential.
- Performs continuous review of technologies, industry standards
and industry-related developments and makes recommendations
relative to the need for further research and associated
changes.
- Provides consistent leadership to each individual; sets
objectives; reviews performance, produces career development plans,
and addresses concerns.
- May manage vendor relationships, serve on Product Review
Committees, Technology Review Committees and/or other committees,
as required. .
- May oversee activities relating to website development and
management such as the development of websites and applications,
ensuring functionality of websites and building software
applications to provide the technical architecture of the site,
user interfaces, and back-end database.
- May serve as an expert on software architecture and programming
principles.
- May perform other job duties as assigned. What you'll need to
have:
- Must have a minimum of 10 years technical experience in
software development or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a manager /
team lead / leader among peers, leading projects or prior
supervisor/management experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience building,
maintaining and/or supporting cloud-base products (Azure
preferred).
- Ability to travel up to 10% to attending team planning and/or
project meetings What would be nice for you to have:
- Strong knowledge and experience building and maintaining
multi-tenant cloud-based solutions.
- Strong DevOps background with experience maintaining and
deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
- Excellent knowledge of the software industry, software
development lifecycle and programming standards.
- Able to oversee the daily operation of multiple distinct areas
of responsibility, including:
- Directing subordinate supervisors, managers, and/or engineers
in the development and implementation of departmental policies,
procedures and programs.
- Managing departmental structure, workforce planning, career
development, training, planning and budgeting.
- Able to oversee the analysis, design, development and
maintenance of software solutions. Guides development efforts
toward solving industry needs.
- Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and
complex projects. .
- Microsoft and other programming/software engineering related
certifications a plus and/or an active desire to pursue such
certifications.
- Expert knowledge of company products and services. If you got
