Summary/ObjectiveThe Junior Marketing Manager role requires an innovative individual who will be responsible for process development, implementation, and management of the BJCC's owned media channels - social media, website, email database, and out of home signage. The role will be responsible for generating the strategy and creative assets to support internal and external initiatives, along with general marketing support across all performances, special events and activities across the BJCC's venues, including Protective Stadium, Legacy Arena, BJCC Concert Hall, BJCC Theatre and Convention Center / Exhibit Halls. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Demonstrates understanding and full performance ability in each of the following:Owns the development, management, and implementation of all the BJCC's digital strategy and campaigns, including across all social media accounts, websites, electronic newsletters/eblasts, venue signage, and digital/print signage across all venues based on defined goals and benchmarksCreates and manages a digital content calendar within a content management platform to efficiently operate multiple channels across multiple venuesDesigns, creates, and distributes weekly electronic database email; maintains subscriber database and implements strategy to grow this databaseCreates engaging design and content for social media, websites, signage, sales proposals, presentations, and other digital/print assets as neededEnsures all strategy, design, and "voice" integrated across marketing channels is consistent with brand guidelines and stated initiatives to support brand awareness and show promotionManages community engagement as "the BJCC voice" by monitoring online reputation and responding to guest inquiries and comments across social platformsCollaborates with Marketing Team to create and manage all digital/social advertising campaigns based on internal and external requirements to support shows and events at each venueResponsible for the creation of relevant, original, high-quality content across all digital channels/platforms including video, still photography, and graphic/infographic assets and designsManages the tracking and payment of all relevant invoicesProvides regular status and analysis reports on Marketing programsStays current on social media/digital marketing trends and strategies and makes recommendations to utilize those trends as appropriateMaintains an understanding of the latest trends and applications in creative design and their implementation in the commercial marketplacePerforms other duties as required Work Environment This environment is fast paced and moderately demanding. Work is typically performed indoors, in a temperature-controlled office setting. Physical DemandsDuties require extended periods of sitting. Limited amount of physical effort such as walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 30lbs with or without assistance, while maintaining good balance. Must be flexible enough to reach above shoulder level and be able to push and pull for brief periods of time. Visual acuity, speech recognition, and speech clarity. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Normally, Monday-Friday regular business hours. Requires ability to work flexible hours as determined by event marketing demands. Local meetings or training purposes. Required Education and ExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or Sales in the entertainment industry, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field or similar experience. Valid State of Alabama Driver License. Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Must be able to collaborate and work effectively within a small team operating at a fast paceExperience with digital/social media planning and placement Experience designing, capturing, and editing professional, engaging, and compelling social and web content, to include graphics and video with a supporting portfolioExperience working in Hootsuite or similar social content management platformExperience creating growth strategies on social media platforms and building followers with proven resultsExperience working with a major market venue and/or media planner preferredA strong creative skillset and eye for visual compositionProficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or IllustratorProficiency with SEO/SEM, and Google Analytics optimizationProficiency in content management systems and general familiarity with web design (WordPress)Proficiency in Mailchimp, or similar email marketing platformsExposure to and familiarity with similar venues and/or a ticketed businessExperience with data tracking methods, including pixel placementEffective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlinesAbility to give and receive constructive criticismMust be a "Self-Starter" and have the ability to work with limited supervisionStrong communication and writing skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with excellent time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.
