Territory Sales Manager

Job Description:

PURPOSE STATEMENT: Manage a sales territory of approximately 350 retail outlets wihtin a defined geographic region for the purposes of selling other tobacco products (OTP) and accessories, including: Cigars, Roll-Your-Own, Filtered Cigars, Traditional and Value Pipe as well as accessories. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: achieving calls per day objective; presenting fact-based selling presentations to retail decision makers; gaining new and/or supporting existing distrubtion of focus brands; placing brand-specific point-of-sale materials, including displays; ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained at store level; creating suggested orders and/or pre-book product orders; executing annual cycle plan, e.g., implementing quarterly promotional activities to support focus brand growth. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Manage the implementation and promotion of sales activities among existing and new customers through effective selling strategies as outlined per Company directives. Ensure profitable growth of the Company's business by increasing sales through the cultivation of supplier relationships, effective promotional execution, expansion of distribution on focus brands, chain account development and solicitation of new accounts Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company policies/procedures and products Apply conceptual selling, creative problem solving, promotional planning and merchandising Meet/exceed all principal accountabilities and objectives per annual account plans (KPIs) as agreed upon with National Sales Manager Develop business partnerships with all classes of trade to promote market leadership by category Adhere to any/all directives as set forth by National Sales Manager and/or the Company beyond aforementioned points KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 -5 years of sales experience in FMCG BA Degree in Marketing or Management Preferred or equivalent experience Excellecent verbal and written communication Compentent in Microsoft Office and CRM (SalesForce.com) Ability to travel up to 20% Self-initiating and capable of working autonomously.
