We Are Hiring: Join Ascension St. Vincent's Premier Float Pool! Enhanced Pay rate and will float possibly every 6 weeks to a different St. Vincent's facility in Birmingham metro area which includes: St. Vincent's Birmingham, St. Vincent's Blount, St. Vincent's East, St. Vincent's St. Clair, St. Vincent's Chilton.

• A minimum of one year of Emergency Room RN experience required
• Scheduled for three (3) 12 hour shifts per week -
• Scheduled for four (4) weekend shifts per 6 week schedule -
• Weekend is defined as 3pm on Friday to 7am on Monday -
• Benefit eligible position -
• Work one major winter holiday and one major summer holiday per year
• Cancellation of a scheduled holiday may result in termination from the Plan. - Any exceptions must be pre-approved and are at the discretion of the Department Manager.
• May be required to float to any entity department after being deemed competent based on the department floating protocol. - What You Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of -the healthcare organization.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Advanced Advanced Life Support specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
      • BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Education:
        • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Additional Preferences: A minimum of one year of Emergency Room RN experience required.
