Our post-surgical unit see general, abdominal, thoracic, lung, bariatric, and urology surgery, 4:5 ratio.--If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.4 West, Post-Surgical unit is a 32 bed unit that cares for patients undergoing general surgery procedures. These procedures vary from thoracotomy, colon surgery, mastectomy, genitourinary surgery, plastic/reconstruction surgery, bariatric surgery.   • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
