Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical Schedule
Join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's, a leading non-profit, faith-based national health system, as a Nurse Manager for our Medical Surgical Schedule. About the Role

• Coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.
• Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
• Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
• Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions. Requirements
    • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
    • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience. Benefits
