outpatient cancer center is seeking a hematologist/oncologist for
locum tenens coverage. About the Facility Location The facility is
1 hr and 30 mins South of Birmingham, AL. About the Clinician's
Workday This outpatient position averages 10-12 patients per day,
with occasional days up to 15, and includes 2-3 new consults daily.
The role is locums-to-perm or until a permanent hire is found, with
very light call. The provider will work alongside one medical
oncologist, a nurse practitioner handling new patients and
follow-ups (primarily hematology), and a radiation oncologist. The
practice uses Viecure, an oncology-specific EMR system. Additional
Job Details - Case Load/PPD: 10-12 ppd, 15ppd some days - Support
Staff: h1 Med Onc, has a NP in taking on the new patients and
follow-ups- mostly for hem - Patient Population: Adults - Call
Ratio/Schedule: limited call , phone calls - Location Type: On-Site
- Prescriptive Authority Required: Yes - Government: No - Number of
