Job Description Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding nursing personnel while ensuring high standards of care within a long-term care setting. This position involves managing employee policies, evaluating resident documentation, and addressing concerns from residents or their families. Candidates must possess a valid RN license, have experience in long-term care, and demonstrate strong communication and computer proficiency. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager in Cooperstown, NY. Now offering a $5,000 Bonus! Key Responsibilities: Oversee all supervisory functions for the designated unit Assist in the development and execution of employee policies and procedures Guide and mentor junior nursing staff, providing clinical and career guidance Ensure adherence to care standards within the unit Evaluate resident records and the quality of care provided Monitor overall care and assess individual resident cases Respond to inquiries or complaints from residents and their families Advocate for the unit's needs with upper management Qualifications: Must possess a valid State RN License Preferred: 3 years of experience in Long Term Care Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse Proficient in computer skills Exceptional communication abilities About Us: Our organization operates a 174-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility situated in the scenic Mohawk Valley, just a short distance from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
