Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work night shifts with every other weekend schedule /n• Option for 4x12 hour shifts available /n• Float to like units as needed /n• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed /n• Must work at least 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day /n• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends /n• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations /n• 30-bed unit with regular medical surgical patients /n• 30-minute lunch break required - no skipped meals policy /n• Must have fit test completed /n• Alabama nursing license required /n• Current BLS via AHA certification required /n• NIHSS certification preferred /n• Skills required: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, peripheral and PICC line management, surgical drains /n• Level II trauma experience preferred /n• Travel experience preferred /n• Previous charge experience preferred /n• Minimum 1 year of experience required /n• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more /n• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed /n• Local candidates within 60-mile radius considered /n/n Facility: /n This medical facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
