Job Description Job Description Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) Shifts Available: Day and Night Shifts We are seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN to join our team. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit , including post-operative and chronic condition management. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient status. Administer medications, manage IV drips (e.g., insulin, heparin, Cardizem), and perform assessments per hospital protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred). Requirements: Active RN license (state or compact). Minimum 1–2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care setting. BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC). Strong telemetry interpretation skills; must pass dysrhythmia test if required. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to float to similar units as needed. Preferred: Experience with orthopedic and general surgery patients. Prior travel nursing experience (for contract roles).
