registered nurse skilled in stepdown care to provide exceptional
patient support in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract role
offers the chance to work with patients managing heart disease and
related conditions, in a focused 14-bed unit with a nurse-patient
ratio of 1:4. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in BLS,
ACLS, and NIHSS certifications and have experience with Epic
charting systems. Location This position is based in Birmingham,
AL, a city known for its vibrant cultural scene, historic
significance, and excellent dining options. Birmingham offers a

access to outdoor recreational activities. Responsibilities Deliver
high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients, primarily those
with heart disease Monitor patient conditions and support
treatments in adherence to clinical protocols Utilize Epic for
accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams and float to related units as necessary
Maintain compliance with vaccine requirements or applicable
medical/religious exemptions Work a 12-hour night shift from 1845
to 0715, covering 36 or 48 hours per week with every other weekend
required Qualifications Valid RN license with experience in
stepdown nursing Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Familiarity with Epic charting software Ability to float within
similar units and support the floatpool as needed Commitment to
maintaining professionalism and patient-centered care standards
Schedule Night shift: 18450715 36 or 48 hours per week Every other
weekend required Immediate start dates available, with the ability
