MICU registered nurses (RNs) are a part of the medical team in an adult critical care unit providing comprehensive care for critically ill medical patients with a vast variety of diagnoses. The MICU RNs provides excellent care for patients with pulmonary problems through intense monitoring and appropriate treatment for those requiring high-frequency ventilation and continuous renal replacement therapy. The MICU RN patient population typically includes ARDS, COPD, Asthma, Pneumonia, End-stage renal disease, Multi-system organ failure, Diabetes, Sepsis and GI bleed.
