ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement • Option for 4x12 schedule available • Float to like units as needed • Possible charge nurse responsibilities when needed • Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics • 30-bed unit serving regular medical surgical patients • 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy • Must adhere to facility call-in policy • Required skills include IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drains, oxygen administration • Additional skills needed: colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, nasal cannula management • 1 years of experience required • Previous charge experience preferred • Level II trauma experience preferred • Travel experience preferred • Alabama nursing license required • Required certifications: Current BLS via AHA, Fit Test • NIHSS certification preferred • Charting system experience required • Must complete facility modules during orientation • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Local candidates considered within 60-mile radius Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients.
