As a Poultry Veterinarian at Koch Foods, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and welfare of our poultry populations across our numerous facilities. This position involves overseeing the health management programs, diagnosing and treating diseases, and ensuring biosecurity measures are effectively implemented. Our commitment to delivering high-quality poultry products starts with the exemplary care and expertise provided by our veterinary team, making this role critical to our operations. Conduct routine health assessments and monitoring of poultry health status across various facilities. Diagnose and treat poultry diseases, including administering vaccines and medications. Develop and implement biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases within and among our facilities. Collaborate with management and production teams to ensure the welfare and optimal health of poultry. Provide training and guidance to farm staff on best practices in poultry health and biosecurity. Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices, treatments, and technologies related to poultry health. Prepare health certification and documentation required for the movement and sale of poultry. Expertise in avian physiology and pathology Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in avian medicine Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficient in using veterinary health management software Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the U.S. Certification in Avian Medicine is highly preferred.
