Position Overview • Permanent, full-time role • First shift schedule • Inpatient hospital pharmacy setting • Multidisciplinary clinical team collaboration • Clean room and sterile compounding responsibilities • $15,000 sign-on bonus Compensation & Incentives • Competitive salary (based on experience) • $15,000 sign-on bonus • Comprehensive benefits package • Professional growth and advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities • Verify medication orders to ensure safe and effective drug therapy • Assess optimal drug selection, dosage regimen design, and administration • Provide drug therapy monitoring services • Facilitate medication reconciliation processes • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams • Lead prevention and reporting efforts for medication errors and adverse drug reactions • Maintain compliance with USP , , and standards • Maintain competency in clean room operations, aseptic technique, and hazardous medication handling • Adhere to institutional policies and pharmacy practice standards Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy • One year of hospital pharmacy experience • Active and clear Registered Pharmacist license (Alabama) • Controlled Substance Permit (Alabama State Board of Pharmacy) • BLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer Preferred Qualifications • PharmD degree • PGY-1 or PGY-2 Residency completion • 3–5 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience • Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification or other applicable certification Why This Opportunity This role is ideal for a pharmacist seeking a clinically engaged inpatient environment with strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
