Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) schedule /n• Option for 4x12 hour shifts available /n• Float to like units as needed /n• Possible charge nurse responsibilities when required /n• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics /n• 30-bed unit caring for regular medical surgical patients /n• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy /n• Must adhere to call-in policy and facility attendance requirements /n• Float required to similar units within the facility /n• Weekend coverage required /n• One pre-approved time off request allowed (maximum 7 days) /n• Alabama nursing license required /n• Current BLS via AHA certification required /n• Fit test required for respiratory protection /n• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred /n• Skills include IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac management /n• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration /n• PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA pumps /n• Surgical drain care, oxygen administration, and various medical equipment /n• Level II trauma experience preferred /n• Travel experience preferred /n• Previous charge nurse experience preferred /n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Charting system experience required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
