Job Description Emergency Veterinarian – Jacksonville, FL Up to $200,000Starting Base Salary | 24/7 Emergency Care | 3-Day Workweek A privately owned, veterinarian-led emergency and urgent care hospital in the Jacksonville, Florida area is expanding and seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its clinical team. This role is ideal for an ER vet looking to work in a modern, purpose-built hospital with strong clinical support, efficient workflows, and leadership that genuinely understands the realities of emergency medicine. About the Hospital Independent ownership with full clinical autonomy Led by experienced emergency veterinarians Purpose-built facility designed specifically for ER workflows Advanced in-house diagnostics and surgical capability Well-established referral relationships within the local veterinary community The Role You will provide high-quality emergency and urgent care to dogs and cats within a 24/7 hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Triage, diagnose, stabilise, and manage emergency and urgent cases Perform emergency surgical procedures as required Utilise in-house diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasound, and laboratory equipment Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful situations Work collaboratively with experienced technicians and support staff Maintain accurate and timely medical records About You DVM or equivalent qualification Eligible for licensure in Florida Emergency or urgent care experience preferred Confident decision-maker with strong communication skills Calm, team-focused approach in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Base salary from $200,000 Monthly production bonus (21–23%) Sign on Bonus Relocation assistance Health, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Continuing education allowance DEA and state licensing covered Professional liability insurance Paid family and medical leave PTO and sick leave Uniforms provided Schedule 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (part time options available) Flexible scheduling supported
