Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room care is sought to support surgical services in Selma, AL. This role requires a highly skilled professional who demonstrates critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration within the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include coordinating surgical supplies, assisting during procedures, updating physician preference cards, and supervising care personnel. Key Responsibilities: - Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring adherence to state regulations, AORN standards, and hospital policies. - Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians. - Ensure timely case management and communication with patient families. - Perform scrubbing and assist surgeons during various surgical cases. - Supervise and guide personnel involved in patient care activities. Qualifications and Experience: - Active Alabama Registered Nurse license. - Minimum of 4 years recent experience as an OR RN in a hospital setting. - Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS (American Heart Association) are required. - Proficient as an OR circulator with endoscopy experience. - Experience in Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General surgery required; additional ENT and GYN experience is preferred. Schedule: - Monday through Friday - Options of 5 shifts of 8 hours or 4 shifts of 10 hours.
