Job Description Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) – Sterile Compounding (503A) Premium Compounding Inc Decatur, Alabama (On-Site) Full-Time About Us Premium Compounding Inc is a 503A sterile compounding pharmacy based in Decatur, Alabama. We specialize in high-quality sterile injectables, with a primary focus on GLP-1 therapies and related formulations. Our mission is to operate at the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence while expanding our multi-state footprint. We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with sterile compounding expertise to lead operations and help scale licensure across multiple states. Position Overview The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) will be responsible for regulatory compliance, sterile compounding oversight, and pharmacy operations in accordance with: USP (Sterile Compounding) USP (Hazardous Drugs, if applicable) Alabama Board of Pharmacy regulations All applicable federal and state regulations governing 503A compounding This is a leadership role requiring operational discipline, regulatory precision, and a proactive compliance mindset. Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory & Compliance Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge under Alabama Board of Pharmacy regulations Ensure full compliance with USP standards and 503A requirements Oversee policies, SOP development, and documentation systems Maintain inspection readiness at all times Manage Board of Pharmacy inspections and regulatory correspondence Sterile Compounding Oversight Supervise sterile compounding operations and cleanroom protocols Ensure environmental monitoring, sterility testing, and QA programs are maintained Validate formulations and oversee beyond-use dating assignments Review batch records and release compounded preparations Multi-State Expansion Assist with non-resident pharmacy licensure in additional states Obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in multiple states (company-supported) Support compliance strategy for interstate operations Leadership & Operations Train and supervise pharmacy staff and technicians Oversee inventory management and purchasing Maintain relationships with testing labs and compliance vendors Collaborate with ownership on strategic growth initiatives Qualifications Required: Active Alabama Pharmacist license (or ability to obtain immediately) Sterile compounding experience under USP Experience in a 503A compounding environment Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations Leadership or supervisory experience Highly Preferred: Licensed in multiple states Experience preparing injectable therapies Experience with GLP-1 or peptide-based compounds Inspection experience (Board of Pharmacy or FDA-related environments) Compensation & Growth Incentives We are building a multi-state operation and reward expansion: Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance bonuses Paid licensure fees for additional states Paid travel, testing, and CE costs Salary increases and structured bonuses for each additional state license obtained Long-term growth opportunity as the company scales What We Offer Clean, modern sterile compounding facility Growth-focused leadership team Investment in compliance, quality, and infrastructure Clear upward mobility as we expand into additional states Ideal Candidate Profile You are: Detail-oriented and compliance-driven Comfortable leading sterile compounding operations Ambitious and interested in scaling a multi-state pharmacy Proactive about licensure and regulatory expansion Interested in being part of a growing GLP-1-focused compounding operation
