Job Description:
Gifted Healthcare is actively seeking a qualified Travel or
Local Stepdown RN to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, Alabama.
This position is ideal for a compassionate and skilled registered
nurse who is focused on providing exceptional patient care in a
stepdown unit. As a part of our team, you will work in an
environment that supports your growth and recognizes your
contributions to improving patient outcomes. This role involves
caring for patients who are stable enough to leave the ICU but
still require close monitoring and specialized care. Gifted
Healthcare thrives on empowering our nurses, ensuring they have the
right resources and a supportive environment to make a substantial
impact in the healthcare field. Monitoring patient vital signs and
administering medication according to physician orders.
Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare
teams to ensure high-quality care. Implementing care plans and
monitoring patient progress. Educating patients and families on
disease processes, medical procedures, and discharge planning.
Responding to medical emergencies and providing intensive care as
needed. Strong clinical skills with a focus on critical care.
Proficiency in using medical software and patient care equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to make
quick decisions in high-pressure situations. Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license in Alabama. BLS (Basic Life Support)
Certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Certification preferred.
