ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work every other weekend (EOW) with possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed • Float to like units as required • Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends • 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy • Patient population includes adults and geriatrics • Must maintain strict adherence to call-in policy • Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed • Requested time off must be included at contract confirmation (maximum 7 days) • Required skills: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac • Additional skills: colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, surgical drains, oxygen administration • Required certifications: Alabama RN license, current BLS via AHA, fit test • Preferred qualifications: NIHSS certification, Level II trauma experience, travel experience, previous charge experience • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Charting system experience required • Must complete facility modules during orientation (average 8 hours) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients.
