ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Anniston, Alabama. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 4x12 hour shifts with every other weekend coverage required • Float to like units as needed with possible charge nurse responsibilities • Maintain 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for adults and geriatric patients • 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy • Perform IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care and wound vac management • Manage colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, blood product administration • Handle peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration • Operate PCA pumps, manage surgical drains, and provide oxygen administration • Work with Paragon charting system and interdisciplinary support teams • Required certifications: Alabama nursing license, current BLS via AHA, and fit test • NIHSS and Level II trauma experience preferred • Travel experience preferred but local candidates within 60-mile radius considered • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed • Must adhere to call-in policy and complete facility-specific modules during orientation Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients.
