Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at an Alabama hospital, requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an AL or Compact RN license. Details - Med/Surg unit (Floor 6) in an acute care hospital setting - Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM - Every other weekend required - Patient ratio of 6:1 - Cerner EMR (experience preferred) - 13-week contract Requirements - Active AL or Compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months - Valid US driver's license required for consideration - US Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered - Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position - RTO requests must be less than one week in duration American Traveler Job ID P-681774.
