Job Description TeamHealth is seeking a critical care physician to join the ICU team at Baptist Health Princeton Hospital. This role focuses on providing expert care for critically ill adult patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases in the intensive care setting. Opportunity Overview Work for TeamHealth , a national leader in hospital medicine Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is a well-established acute care facility with 505 licensed beds serving western Jefferson County from its campus just west of downtown Birmingham Flexible scheduling Supportive leadership with TeamHealth's robust resources , clinical education, and performance tools Physician-led culture with opportunities for leadership and advancement Excellent APC support and collaborative HM and ED team EMR: EPIC Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including daily patient assessment, management of life-support technologies, ventilator management, hemodynamic support and critical care procedures Collaborate with specialists, hospitalists, nursing, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to develop and implement individualized care plans Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, clinical decision-making, and family communication Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts and institutional protocols within the ICU Participate in scheduled coverage, including nights or weekend call as defined by the department schedule Qualifications Board certified/board eligible in critical care medicine, internal medicine (IM), or family medicine (FM) Alabama medical license or eligibility Strong clinical and communication skills Interested in learning more?
