high-quality care. We are launching a pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. The Role: The Pharmacy Technician will assist the
pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage
pharmacy inventory, and provide excellent customer service. This
role ensures that all activities comply with pharmacy regulations
and procedures. You will be the first Pharmacy Tech working
directly with the Pharmacist In Charge. What You'll Do: Medication
Preparation: Accurately measure, label, and package medications as
prescribed by physicians and under the supervision of a licensed
pharmacist. The pharmacy shall be a compounding pharmacy so you
shall also participate in the process of compounding medications,
such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, with the supervision of the
Pharmacist In Charge. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of
medications and supplies, place orders when needed, receive
shipments, and ensure proper storage of medications. Prescription
Processing: Enter and update patient information in the pharmacy's
system, ensuring prescription accuracy and compliance with legal
and regulatory requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with
pharmacists to ensure that medication dispensing is accurate and
timely, assisting in reviewing prescription orders for potential
drug interactions and contraindications. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all procedures and processes are in accordance with federal,
state, and local laws governing pharmacy operations. What You'll
Bring: Education: High School diploma or equivalent (required);
completion of a pharmacy technician certification program
(preferred). Licensure: Active pharmacy technician certification
(CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or
equivalent (required). Experience: Prior experience as a pharmacy
technician in a hospital or clinical setting, Sterile & Non Sterile
Compounding experience (Preferred), and familiar with USP797 &
USP795 Guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle
multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of pharmacy operations,
medications, and medical terminology. Proficient with pharmacy
software and general office equipment.
