Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing both facility-based and home-based care. The ideal candidate will assess and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders to improve communication abilities and enhance quality of life. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, the candidate will craft individualized treatment plans that meet patient-specific needs, closely monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as necessary. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans. Document and maintain patient data and progress reports. Educate patient and family members on communication techniques. Conduct group therapies when applicable. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to modify care plans. Proficiency in diagnostic tools and therapies for speech disorders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with patients of all ages. Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
