Job Description:
Headway is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative
team in improving access to mental health care. As part of our
driven organization, you will play a crucial role in connecting
patients with the mental health services they need, using our
state-of-the-art platform that integrates seamlessly with insurance
providers. This position offers the opportunity to work in a
dynamic environment where patient care is facilitated through
cutting-edge technology and thoughtful service delivery. Conduct
comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health
conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe
medication and monitor its effectiveness, making adjustments as
needed. Provide crisis intervention services when required.
Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare
professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
Maintain thorough and detailed patient records in accordance with
legal requirements and clinical policies. Educate patients and
their families on mental health conditions and treatment options,
promoting wellness and disease prevention. Strong clinical skills
in psychiatry and mental health. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with
patients and families. Ability to work independently and as part of
a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic health record
(EHR) systems. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Malpractice Insurance Current, unrestricted license as a
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Board
Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP-BC).
