The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face
of the organization for patients seeking routine care or critical
health insights. This role is responsible for performing
high-quality phlebotomy services and preparing specimens for
laboratory testing while following established procedures and
maintaining patient trust. The PSR II has direct patient
interaction and creates an environment of confidence and
professionalism by explaining procedures clearly and performing
blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner . Assignments
may include work at a patient service center, physician office, or
other locations based on business needs. Responsibilities include
performing clinical and forensic specimen collection, verifying
patient demographic information, ensuring specimen labeling
accuracy in the patient’s presence, and maintaining required
documentation. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors,
supports process excellence, and upholds strict confidentiality
standards while promoting a positive image to patients, clients,
and coworkers. Education • High School Diploma or equivalent •
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred • Phlebotomy
certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA) Required
Skills & Attributes Required Skills: • Excellent phlebotomy skills
, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections •
Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced
environment • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site
supervision • Strong customer service and patient communication
skills Preferred Skills: • Minimum 2 years experience in a Patient
Service Center environment • Customer service experience in a
retail or service setting Additional Skills: • Keyboarding and data
entry proficiency • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a
high-volume setting • Flexibility to travel and work across
multiple locations with minimal notice • Reliable transportation
and valid driver’s license (if applicable) Experience Requirements
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience required , including pediatric,
geriatric, and capillary collections Work Schedule • Monday –
Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • 1-hour lunch • Eastern Time Zone •
Flexibility required for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call
coverage as needed • Training locations may vary based on trainer
