Job Description:
ITAC Solutions is searching for a Lead Systems Engineer for a
local Birmingham client! The ideal candidate will be responsible
for the maintenance, integrity, management, and security of
on-premises and cloud-based computing solutions. **C2C is not an
option with this job opening and all applicants should be able to
work for any US Employer without sponsorship What you'll be doing
(duties of this position): Responsible for the maintenance,
configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems,
networks, servers, and virtualization systems Support and lead the
System Administrator and Help Desk teams by providing direction and
guidance. Install, maintain, and upgrade networks both at the
individual location and data center levels Install, maintain, and
upgrade server systems and software Conduct an analysis and
performance tuning to optimize network performance. Participate in
the delivery of projects and solutions to completion in a team
environment while demonstrating a consultative personality,
leadership mindset, and collaborative communication style.
Configure, architect, and manage VMware and Azure computing
solutions Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT
staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT
infrastructure Suggest improvements and document work while
gathering information to determine the scope of problems and
functionality when necessary. What you'll need to be considered
(requirements): Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
or a related field, and substantial experience working in a similar
System Administrator role 5+ years of VMware Virtualization
experience 3+ years of Azure experience Experience supporting and
building in Microsoft Azure Cloud MS Windows Server (2012, 2016,
and 2019), Microsoft SQL, VMware Virtualization, Active Directory,
and Azure Knowledge of LAN, wireless networks, and OS systems
Knowledge of security systems on the network Some scripting (shell
scripts) Understanding of Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP,
SNMP, SSH, SFTP) and equipment (routing, switching, and firewalls)
Knowledge of advanced hardware and software systems Strong
communication skills (oral and written) #INDIT
