Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler-$20-$23/hr Job Description Join our team as a Material Handler, where you'll play a crucial role in our dynamic warehouse environment. You will be operating a Stand up forklift (Crown Brand) and handling products weighing up to 2000 lbs. This position involves frequent movement on and off the forklift to pull, pick, and stage products, ensuring orders are prepared for shipment using computer-generated work orders. Responsibilities Operate Stand up forklift for 75% or more of the day. Prepare orders for shipment and ensure quality specifications are met. Perform safety checks on warehouse equipment including forklifts, man-up, and order pickers. Check products and load them into semi-trailers for shipment. Adjust and move pallets while bending and lifting. Essential Skills 6 months of recent experience operating a Stand up Forklift (Crown Brand preferred). Comfortable reading and writing work reports to pick and pull orders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand on feet all day in steel-toed shoes. Comfortable working with computers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Stocking experience. Experience with pallet jack, order picking, shipping, and warehouse operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our warehouse, opened in February 2024, is a new and clean facility, separated from the manufacturing building. The distribution center spans 248,489 square feet and is equipped with newer forklifts, with plans to continue upgrading. We operate multiple shifts with potential for overtime, working in a clean and well-maintained environment. The first shift runs from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, while the second shift is from 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm, both from Monday to Friday. Mandatory overtime includes one Saturday a month, with advance notice provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
