Job Description:
Job Title: Truss Plant Manager Seeking a highly motivated and
experienced Truss Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of
our truss manufacturing facility. This leadership role is
responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining
high-quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and managing a
team of supervisors and production staff. The ideal candidate has a
strong background in wood truss manufacturing, operational
leadership, and lean production practices. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the truss manufacturing plant.
Lead, manage, and motivate production teams to meet production
goals and quality standards. Ensure safety policies and procedures
are strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve
productivity and efficiency. Monitor inventory levels, raw material
usage, and production schedules. Collaborate with design, sales,
and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order
fulfillment. Identify and implement continuous improvement
initiatives using lean manufacturing principles. Maintain equipment
and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Recruit, train, and develop plant staff; conduct performance
evaluations and provide coaching. Ensure compliance with industry
regulations and company policies. Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Operations
Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in truss manufacturing or
a related building materials environment. Minimum 2–3 years of
supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of truss design, production processes, and
quality control. Knowledge of ERP systems and production scheduling
tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational
skills. Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive
continuous improvement. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and plant
safety standards. Preferred Skills: Experience with MiTek software
or similar truss design systems. Lean Six Sigma or other process
