West Fraser, a leading North American integrated wood products company, seeks a highly skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing team. As a committed champion of quality, sustainability, and community, we focus on producing a variety of wood products including lumber, LVL, MDF, plywood, and more, supplemented by renewable energy initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all installations and maintenance are up to national standards and company safety policies. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in manufacturing equipment and related components. Conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems, and prepare maintenance schedules. Recommend modifications and upgrades to electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure limited downtime and continued factory productivity. Follow strict safety procedures and standards. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuits, and wiring diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to comply with safety regulations. Proficiency in using electrical and hand tools effectively.
